This arts complex includes the Main Gallery and the New Talent Gallery, featuring contemporary and traditional works by established and emerging artists. An outdoor sculpture garden features a unique and changing selection of art works. Located at 3333 N. MacArthur, approximately five minutes north of Highway 183. The center also features theatre and concert programs throughout the year at the 712-seat Carpenter Hall, 256-seat Dupree Theater and the 446-seat Theatre in the Commons. Twelve resident arts groups call the Irving Arts Center home. (972) 252-7558

The Irving Art Association has been a part of the Irving Art community since the 1950's, and has been located at the Center for the Arts at Jaycee Park for nearly as many years. The Center has two galleries that offer talent by local and regional artists in various styles and mediums. There are new exhibits monthly. The Center's mission is to teach art appreciation to adults and young people of the community. They offer free Basic Drawing, Oil painting, Watercolor painting, and Calligraphy in the months of September, October, January and February every year. We sponsor the Texas & Neighbors Annual Art Competition held at the Irving Art Center at 3333 N. MacArthur Dr. This exhibit brings competition from artists in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico. The galleries at Jaycee Park have workshops in all mediums for all artists, and hosts two annual major competitions at the IAA galleries: a Wildlife Competition in October and the IAA Membership competition in May. The Center hosts groups of artists that paint weekly, Tuesday and Thursday Painters, all are welcome, membership is not required.

Mandalay Canal Walk at Las Colinas

Marble Cow Sculpture
High atop Bluebonnet Hill, sits a tribute to the rolling ranchlands ("Las Colinas") that once dominated this area. The five marble cows were sculpted by Harold Clayton. Highway 114 at Rochelle Road.

Mustangs of Las Colinas | map

Make sure you've brought your camera for the breathtaking view of these nine larger-than-life bronze mustangs galloping across a granite stream. Created by African wildlife artist Robert Glen, the Mustangs are the largest equestrian sculpture in the world. Located on the Williams Square Plaza, 5215 N. O'Connor Road, north of Highway 114. Step across the plaza to the Williams Square West Tower for the Mustang Sculpture Exhibit, which includes a short film detailing the seven years it took to create the sculpture. Exhibit hours are Wednesday-Saturday, 11 am- 5 pm. Admission is free. (972) 869-9047
