Hartford Hall of Fame to Open Lucas Oil Stadium for Basketball

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Four of the nation’s premier teams will headline The Hartford Hall of Fame Showcase as the first basketball event to be played in the new Lucas Oil Stadium on Dec. 6, 2008 in Indianapolis. New Indiana head coach Tom Crean will lead his Hoosiers against preseason top-10 favorite Gonzaga in the 1:30 p.m. opener followed by Big East-power Notre Dame versus 2007 NCAA runner-up Ohio State at 4 p.m. The event, which is owned and managed by BEST, is in its third year and serves as an annual fundraiser for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.

Christopher Clouser Appointed Chairman of Tennis Hall of Fame

NEWPORT, RI -- Earlier this morning at the annual Board of Directors meeting in New York City, the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum announced the appointment of Christopher E. Clouser as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Clouser succeeds Hardwick Simmons, who served as Chairman for the past four years.

Fan Balloting for Ford C. Frick Award Begins at Baseball Hall of Fame

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Online voting for fan selections for the 2009 Ford C. Frick Award ballot has begun and continues through Sept. 30, as fans will choose three of the 10 names on the final ballot, to be announced on Oct. 6, for the fifth straight year. Fans can cast votes once per day through September for up to three baseball broadcasters, exclusively at baseballhall.org.

International Tennis Hall of Fame Names New Museum Director
