Jackie Robinson Hall of Fame Plaque Dedicated June 25 in Cooperstown

(COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.): The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will dedicate a new Hall of Fame plaque for Jackie Robinson on Wednesday, June 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Gallery.  The plaque unveiling ceremony has been rescheduled from its original unveiling date of May 3.

Kei Nishikori Enters Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships

Baseball Hall of Fame Game Washed Out

June 16, 2008
(COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.): The final Hall of Fame Game, set to feature the Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres at historic Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, was cancelled due to inclement weather on Monday. At 2:35 the sold-out game was called due to poor weather conditions, shortly after the National Anthem.

Broadcasting Legend Jim McKay Dies At 86

Monkton, MD – Jim McKay was the lone face on the Mount Rushmore of broadcasters. That’s how friend and colleague Dick Stockton described McKay, who died today of natural causes at 86 on his farm in Maryland. Minor League Photo Exhibit Opens at Baseball Hall of Fame

(COOPERSTOWN, N.Y): A photo exhibit documenting minor league baseball from noted photographer Roger Freeman is now on display at The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The exhibit, located on the third floor, displays the black-and-white work Freeman completed during summers in the 1990s capturing images and memories from the New York-Penn League.

20th Annual Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture Begins Wednesday

(COOPERSTOWN, N.Y): The 20th Annual Symposium on Baseball and American Culture will take place Wednesday through Friday, June 4-6, at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y. The event will feature over 50 presentations discussing baseball's effect on American culture, the highest number in the history of the symposium. The event is co-sponsored by the State University of New York College at Oneonta and the Hall of Fame.
