COOPERSTOWN, NY (June 20, 2008) -- The SaveTheFameGame.com campaign today sent a two-page letter to Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig to request a meeting while the commissioner is in Cooperstown next month for the Hall of Fame's Induction ceremony. The Hall of Fame's Induction Weekend is July 25-28.

BOISE, Idaho – NFL running back Warrick Dunn, international basketball legend Vlade Divac and Olympic skier Jimmie Heuga have been elected as 2008 inductees of the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame (www.SportsHumanitarian.com) for their exceptional commitment to community service. The sports humanitarians will be enshrined on June 24 at the Hall’s annual induction ceremonies in Boise, Idaho.

(COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.): The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will dedicate a new Hall of Fame plaque for Jackie Robinson on Wednesday, June 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Gallery. The plaque unveiling ceremony has been rescheduled from its original unveiling date of May 3.

(COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.): The final Hall of Fame Game, set to feature the Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres at historic Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, was cancelled due to inclement weather on Monday. At 2:35 the sold-out game was called due to poor weather conditions, shortly after the National Anthem.
