Motorcycle Hall of Fame Announces 2008 Inductees

PICKERINGTON, OHIO – The Motorcycle Hall of Fame, home to the stories and legends of American motorcycling heritage, is pleased to announce the selection of six individuals for induction.  The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2008 includes Vaughn Beals, Rod Coates, Scot Harden, Larry “Supermouth” Huffman, Terry Poovey and Rolf Tibblin.  The annual induction ceremony will take place Saturday evening, October 11, 2008, at the Hilton Polaris in Columbus, Ohio.

Soccer Hall of Famer Gordon Bradley Passes Away

ONEONTA, NY (April 30, 2008) – Hall of Famer Gordon Bradley, Class of 1996, passed away on April 29 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. “Soccer has lost a good friend and a mentor to many,” Hall of Fame President Steve Baumann said. “His contributions are a significant part of the history of the game beginning in the 60s and carrying through the 90s. His honest and good-natured relationships with people both in and outside soccer were a hallmark of his personality and his career. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife Vera and the entire Bradley family.”

Baseball Hall of Fame Unveils Jackie Robinson Plaque May 3

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y): The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will unveil a new plaque of Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson, featuring updated language to further honor his legacy, this Saturday, May 3, at 1:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Gallery. The ceremony will feature Rachel Robinson, Jackie's widow, as she shares her thoughts on her late husband's legacy.

World Golf Hall of Famers Arnold Palmer, Byron Nelson and Nancy Lopez Help Sports Museum of America

New Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum Exhibit Presents Fresh View of Classic Machines

PICKERINGTON, OHIO – Visitors to the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum will have the opportunity to view classic bikes from a new perspective when the photography exhibit "Red Bikes" opens on July 24, 2008. The installation will feature nine large photographic prints by artist and motorcycle aficionado Dawn Deppi, each vividly capturing the powerful sculptural beauty of the machines. Deppi, who chose to photograph only vibrantly red motorcycles for the exhibit, is an accomplished artist whose work has appeared in numerous galleries and national publications.
