The New Jersey Hall of Fame inducted 15 people into its inaugural class on May 4, 2008. The Hall of Fame exists only as a virtual entity now, but officials are raising money to build a permanent museum. The first class was chosen through an online vote after 25 finalists were announced in 2006. All inductees must have lived in the state for at least five years, though organizers made an exception to that rule for Underground Railroad pioneer Harriet Tubman. |

St. Augustine, Fla. (May 1, 2008) – The World Golf Hall of Fame today has unveiled a new group of items in its current featured exhibition, "Jack Nicklaus: Golf's Golden Champion." The collection includes the set of MacGregor VIP irons Nicklaus used to win the 1976 PLAYERS Championship, the second of his record three titles in the event (1974, 1978) in addition to a variety of other items reflecting the golfer's respected career. |

PICKERINGTON, OHIO – The Motorcycle Hall of Fame, home to the stories and legends of American motorcycling heritage, is pleased to announce the selection of six individuals for induction. The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2008 includes Vaughn Beals, Rod Coates, Scot Harden, Larry “Supermouth” Huffman, Terry Poovey and Rolf Tibblin. The annual induction ceremony will take place Saturday evening, October 11, 2008, at the Hilton Polaris in Columbus, Ohio.

ONEONTA, NY (April 30, 2008) – Hall of Famer Gordon Bradley, Class of 1996, passed away on April 29 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. “Soccer has lost a good friend and a mentor to many,” Hall of Fame President Steve Baumann said. “His contributions are a significant part of the history of the game beginning in the 60s and carrying through the 90s. His honest and good-natured relationships with people both in and outside soccer were a hallmark of his personality and his career. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife Vera and the entire Bradley family.”
