The International Whitewater Hall of Fame and Museum is located at the Adventure Sports Center International, a premier artificial whitewater boating venue in McHenry, Maryland in the U.S.A.

The state-of-the-art whitewater course is adjacent to the Wisp ski resort and near some of the best hiking, biking and climbing areas found in the eastern United States.

The Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and honoring those individuals who have made significant accomplishments in and contributions to whitewater sports.

Submitting Nominees

Nominations from around the world are submitted to the IWHOF offices by Affiliate organizations. These organizations have been selected for their broad representation of the whitewater industry and their expressed interest in IWHOF.

Affiliates determine their own internal process for collecting nominations. Many affiliates take suggestions from their membership while others work internally with their administrative boards, editorial committees or other selected committee.

All nominations are screened by IWHOF to insure that nominees meet the category criteria for which they are nominated with a final ballot selected from the top nominations for each category.

The whitewater public is encouraged to contact their representative affiliates to participate in the nomination process.
