Jim Huber is a decades-long mixed-medium master. After spending ten years as a newspaperman in Miami and Atlanta, and three years in Atlanta radio, and seven more years in local Atlanta television (WXIA-TV, 1977-84), Huber joined CNN in its infancy. He spent 16 award-winning years doing both anchor-work and feature shows. Huber won an Emmy for his writing during the 1996 Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta. He has also won the Edward R. Murrow award for excellence in writing. In 1999, he moved across the Turner Broadcasting atrium to work full-time for Turner Sports, doing essays and commentary for TNT on the network’s coverage of Wimbledon, the British Open, the PGA Championship, the Grand Slam of Golf, the NBA, NASCAR and among other assignments. His feature productions are regularly seen on ABC, CNN and USA Network. Huber is the author of two celebrated books, The Babes of Winter (1977, Strode Publishing) and A Thousand Goodbyes (2001, Thomas Nelson Publishing). |
