Joe McDonnell is an award-winning radio talk show host and investigative reporter. He is the recipient of the Los Angeles Daily News "Sports Talk Host of the Decade" for the 1990s and took the yearly honors six times.
Among his many radio positions, Joe served as the ESPN Radio 710 assistant program director and afternoon drive host from 2000 to 2005. Joe is legendary for breaking stories. Wayne Gretzky's trade to the Kings, Pat Riley's firing as coach of the Lakers, Magic Johnson's hiring as Lakers' head coach and exclusive details of the baseball commissioner's proposed drug policy in the mid-1980s all came to public light through Joe's reporting. Joe is currently at the number one sports station in Los Angeles - AM 570 KLAC, the flagship station for the LA Lakers and UCLA Bruins. He also hosts a general talk show on Sunday for the Air America affiliate in LA - KTLK AM 1150. |
