Charley Steiner

Charlie Steiner Charley Steiner is one of the most popular sports announcers in the United States. A longtime host of ESPN Sports Center, he is currently the play-by-play voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Steiner is one of the original faces of ESPN. In his 14 years at ESPN, Steiner distinguished himself as one of America's foremost authorities on baseball and boxing, winning a Cable Ace award for his special on Muhammad Ali and a Clarion Award for his coverage of the Mike Tyson rape trial.

Steiner and the late Hall of Fame broadcaster Red Barber are the only two announcers entrusted with play-by-play duties for baseball's two most storied franchises, the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is now in his second season mic-side with the Dodgers and broadcasting legend Vin Scully. Steiner also hosts a daily baseball talk show on XM satellite radio.
