Edgar Prado, jockey of the ill-fated 2006 Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro, has been elected to the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame class of 2008.

Prado, 40, won two Belmont Stakes, led the country in victories three times, and received the award of top jockey in the county in 2006.

Prado is joined by Ismael "Milo" Valenzuela, who rode Kelso in three of his five championship seasons, and trainer Carl Nafzger, who conditioned Kentucky Derby winners Unbridled and Street Sense, as well as champion filly Banshee Breeze.

Three horses also were elected to the Hall of Fame: Inside Information, a filly who won 14 of 17 starts for owner-breeder Ogden Mills Phipps and trainer Shug McGaughey, including the 1995 Breeders' Cup Distaff; Manila, the grass champion who won nine consecutive races between 1986 and 1987; and Ancient Title, a California gelding who won 20 stakes races in the 1970s.
