Fox News anchor Shephard Smith and author John Grisham will be inducted into the University of Mississippi Alumni Hall of Fame today in Oxford, MS.
The Mississippi Hall of Fame honors as many Mississippians who have achievements in the arts : writers, journalist, actors, actresses, dancers, musicians, producers, directors, radio & TV performers, entertainers, singers, artist, and sculptors who were born in Mississippi or have made Mississippi their home for 50% of their life and have national and/or international recognition.
No politicians will be included here nor will any sports figures. This is to recognize those Mississippians who have excelled in the fields of artistic endeavor.
