(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Tickets for Game 3 of the World Series at Citizens Bank Park might be scarce in Philadelphia, but Phillies fans can watch all the action Saturday, Oct. 25, at the home of baseball in Cooperstown. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will host the 12th-annual World Series Gala at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25. This family event will feature a live broadcast of Game 3 of the 104 th World Series, featuring the National League champion Philadelphia Phillies against the American League champions. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m.
The Hall of Fame is just a four-hour drive from the greater Philadelphia area. Fans without tickets to the Phillies' first home World Series game since 1993 can enjoy Game 3 surrounded by the glorious baseball history at the Hall of Fame. The fun-filled evening will feature refreshments, trivia, raffles, prizes and more as fans watch the game from the Hall of Fame on big screens in either the Grandstand Theater or the Plaque Gallery. A ticket is required for this event and costs $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Members may reserve tickets immediately, and any remaining tickets will be available to non-members on Oct. 20 by calling the Membership department at 607-547-0397. Phillies fans can enjoy reliving the history of their favorite team in the Museum. Artifacts presently on display include a Ryan Howard road jersey from his 2006 National League Most Valuable Player season, Jimmy Rollins’ spikes from his 2007 Most Valuable Player season and a Chase Utley jersey from 2007. Members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum receive free admission to the Museum, as well as access to exclusive programs, such as the Voices of the Game Series. Additionally, members receive a subscription to the Hall of Fame's bi-monthly magazine, Memories and Dreams, the 2008 Hall of Fame yearbook and a 10% discount and free shipping on retail purchases. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Museum is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. seven days a week. The Museum observes off-season hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. from the day after Labor Day until Memorial Day Weekend. Ticket prices are $16.50 for adults (13 and over), $11 for seniors (65 and over) and for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations, and $6 for juniors (ages 7-12).
