Nominations may be submitted by any federation or individual in the skating community or by the public. New nomination procedures have been established by the World Figure Skating Museum trustees, led by President Jan Serafine and World Hall of Fame Chair Barbara Holland.
Nominees may be: * Former elite competitors who have made special contributions in style and technique; must have been retired from eligible skating for at least five years * Outstanding persons in a non-athletic role – administrators, officials or writers * Outstanding contributors with a creative impact – theatrical skaters, coaches, choreographers, impresarios or costume designers * Individuals from any of the above categories who were active prior to 1939/World War II – the “Goldens”

Nomination forms will be accepted until Nov. 20, 2008.
The selection committee will review all nominations to verify that the candidates meet the selection standards and to approve the candidates to place on the official ballot. World Hall of Fame members, along with invited electors, will then cast their votes. A two-thirds majority of the votes cast for each category is required to confirm one’s election. Newly elected members will be honored during the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2009 in Los Angeles, Calif, USA, March 22-29, 2009. Best of luck to all the nominees!
