A new feature for the 2006 Hall of Fame Game is that one successful bidder in the Silent Auction will be a Columbus Crew coach for the day. The winning bidder will receive his/her own Crew shirt and join the Crew coaching staff along the sideline. The Silent Auction opens Saturday and closes at 11:00 AM on Monday.

"We are pleased to host our third Major League Soccer Hall of Fame Game and know that it will be a fun afternoon," Hall of Fame President/CEO Will Lunn stated. "The MLS Game is especially fitting as this year "Celebrating Ten Years of MLS" is our primary theme in the Museum. We plan a ribbon cutting for the new MLS Gallery on Sunday evening with Commissioner Garber and MLS Owner/Operator Phil Anschutz who is also being honored Sunday and inducted Monday."

Induction 2006 will take place on Monday, August 28th at 10:00 AM in the National Soccer Museum The Induction Ceremony is free and open to the public. The Hall of Fame Game featuring the New York Red Bulls and Columbus Crew will follow at 1:00 PM on At-A-Glance Field on the Hall of Fame Campus in Oneonta, NY. Game tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on game day and are available at the Hall of Fame or your local Ticketmaster outlet.

Three players and a Builder will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the annual ceremony.
