ONEONTA, NY (November 2, 2006) – The National Soccer Hall of Fame will host the History Channel's Modern Marvels TV show on Tuesday, November 7. "Modern Marvels is doing an exploration of sport balls and wanted to see the progress that has been made in soccer balls." Director of Museum and Archives Jack Huckel said. "We have soccer balls that were manufactured in pre-World War II period when the ball was laced to the modern ball used in the 2006 FIFA World Cup and Major League Soccer."

The video team intends to shoot Museum exteriors and interiors along with interviews of Hall personnel. "You never know what ends up in the show and what ends up on the cutting room floor, " Huckel said, "but we are happy to offer our knowledge of the game and soccer balls to a wider audience. It's good for us and good for the community."

The National Soccer Hall of Fame located in Oneonta, N.Y., celebrates the history, honors the heroes and preserves the legacy of soccer in the United States. For more information, log on to soccerhall.org.
