Julia Child and Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Lead Nine In Women's HOF 2007 Class

Seneca Falls, N.Y. (January 25, 2007) - Nine women - including television chef Julia Child and hospice care pioneer Elisabeth Kubler-Ross – are heading for the National Women's Hall of Fame. Both women died in August 2004.

The National Women's Hall of Fame was founded in 1969 in Seneca Falls, New York, the site of the first recorded women's rights convention. Its purpose is to honor women who have made significant contributions to society and women's rights.

Environmental advocate Winona LaDuke, astronomer Judith Pipher. engineer Eleanor Baum, social reformer and philanthropist Swanee Hunt, suffragist Martha Coffin Wright, educator Henrietta Szold and Catherine Filine Shouse, founder of first national park for performing arts, will also be inducted at a ceremony on October seventh at the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, New York.
