Oneonta, NY – (January 30, 2007) – The The National Soccer Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the Colin Jose Media Award. The Hall of Fame established this award in 2004 to honor members of the media whose career contributions in the field are deemed to be of exceptional and sustained quality. Candidates include reporters, columnists, authors, broadcasters and others who specialize in communications.
Nominees should have served at least 10 years in their field and demonstrated continuous excellence in the body of their work. The Colin Jose Media Award Committee, comprised primarily of previous award winners, as well as the namesake of the award Colin Jose, the Directors of Communications at U.S. Soccer and at Major League Soccer, reviews the nominees and determine by consensus the recipient of the Colin Jose Media award. Absent consensus, the Committee has the option to not present the award. The National Soccer Hall of Fame will be announcing the 2007 Colin Jose Media Award recipient this spring. The award will be presented during the 2007 Induction Weekend. Please send your completed form to Jack Huckel at the email address or fax number listed below. We hope to hear from many of you and look forward to receiving your nominations for this prestigious award.
