Live Simulcast of the 22nd Annual Rock and Roll HOF Induction Ceremony

CLEVELAND (February 5, 2007) - The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will host a live broadcast of the 22nd Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Monday, March 12, 2007 beginning at 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.). Exhibits will be open to tour during the event.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. At the same time, visitors to the Museum in Cleveland will be able to witness the entire length of the 2007 Induction Ceremony for only $10. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will simulcast the four-hour ceremony, including the unedited performances and all of the comments that are cut from the television broadcast. This one-time showing will be seen on several large screens throughout the Museum. Tickets go on sale to Museum members on Monday, February 5. Members should call 216.515.8427 to purchase tickets. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, February 7 and will be available through Ticketmaster and at the Museum box office.

The 2007 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame "Performer" Inductees are Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, R.E.M., The Ronettes, Patti Smith and Van Halen.

This event is presented by Bacardi USA, WXRK (K-ROCK) and WNCX 98.5FM.

About the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum:
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is the nonprofit organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world about the history and continuing significance of rock and roll music. It carries out this mission both through its operation of a world-class museum that collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets this art form and through its library and archives as well as its educational programs.

The Museum is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Wednesdays the Museum is open until 9 p.m. Museum admission is $20.00 for adults, $14 for seniors (60+), $11 for children (9-12) and children under eight and Museum members are free.
