Honolulu, Hawaii - (February 7, 2007) - The Hawaii Hall of Fame inducted a volleyball pro, a speed boat racer, an Olympic weight-lifter, a pioneer for women's athletics and a NFL all-star in the Class of 2007.
Linda Fernandez was among this year's inductees.The former UH star was a three-time all international volleyball player. Thomas Gentry won World Championships in high speed motor boat racing in the 1980s and 90s. Richard Tom won a bronze medal in the bantum weight class in the 1948 Olympics.
Donnis Thompson was UH's first full time women's athletics director. Mark Tuinei, a Punahou graduate and offensive lineman who helped the Cowboys win three Super Bowls, rounded out the field.
