So a black USC Football assistant coach started calling a bunch of white players the "White Nation," and one of the players made an Internet sticking up for the pride of the Aryan brotherhood. Then, someone adds a logo to the page depicting a black baby in handcuffs with the slogan saying you should stop all black babies before they grow up to be criminals. And no one is being disciplined? Disgraceful. It was just a joke, they say. Well, even though this is all based on locker room humor, there has to come a point where you realize that something is in bad taste. And would look bad to an outsider who doesn't get to participate in the towel-snapping antics and culture of a college football locker room. Stupidity isn't a crime, but it doesn't mean an idiot should be allowed to continue on as an idiot without being reprimanded. And for the assistant coach, Todd McNair, I ask this: Would you find it funny if a white assistant started calling a bunch of black guys the "Black Nation?" Wouldn't you at least realize it would look bad for the University football team to promote something as potential hurtful as this? What an amazing lack of regard the Pete Carroll regime has for propriety. Check out how many current and former Carroll players have been arrested and charged with crimes during the past five years. And this is the same guy who concocted a fake suicide of one of his players to "loosen up" his team. No, I'm not kidding. Two years ago he dressed a dummy in the uniform of running back LenDale White. He then got White – a willing participant – to angrily storm out of practice after being "kicked out" and head toward the six-story parking garage near the Trojans' field. White then was seen yelling from the rooftop, stepping back and then "jumping." Of course, it was just the dummy being thrown from the roof, but that's one of the sickest "pranks" I've ever hear of. And you've got to wonder about the mentality and leadership abilities of a coach who would allow something like that to happen. And participate in.
