Nashville, Tennessee "April is the cruelest month," wrote T. S. Eliot in his signature poem, The Wasteland. Too bad the St. Louis-born and Harvard-educated poet never had the chance to savor contemporary Nashville in April. While most of the country is still aching for a real spring, Nashville is warm in weather, full in flower and hot in music. For a fifth straight year, Music City celebrates the month as Awesome April, a musical tribute to the city that promises a major event each weekend and plenty more during the week. The month of April offers something for every taste with art exhibits, sports, music, family entertainment and more. Throughout the month visitors have the opportunity to be in the audience of a nationally-televised awards show, take in a award winning films, listen to songwriters perform their Grammy-winning songs, run a marathon or relax to the sounds of acoustic guitars.
