Baseball Hall of Fame

"American Pastime" will be shown Friday in the Museum's Bullpen Theater.

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – Following up on a topic first broached in February's "Desert Dreams Behind Barbed Wire," the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum's Electronic Field Trip to the Manzanar internment camp in California, filmmaker Kerry Yo Nakagawa's new film "American Pastime" will be screened Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m. in the Museum's Bullpen Theater in Cooperstown.

"American Pastime" dramatizes the plight of Japanese-American baseball players held in internment camps during World War II. Prior to the screening, Nakagawa will greet attendees and briefly discuss the movie's production. Nakagawa was a co-producer and consultant to the film.
