Sports Heritage Association Website Relaunched

Sports Heritage Association

The official website of the International Sports Heritage Association (ISHA) – SportsHeritage.org – recently relaunched with a dynamic new look. Many features that benefit ISHA member organizations as well as the general public were incorporated into the redesign of SportsHeritage.org.

"We've long believed that our website was one of the more valuable resources for our members and we feel that the new site will become even more useful for professionals in our industry," commented ISHA'S President Dave Chase.  "Sportsheritage.org is now also geared to allow us to increase our outreach to the general public and continue to spread the importance of sports heritage in cultures around the world."

Included among the enhancements to the ISHA website is a travel planner that produces a listing of sports heritage organizations located near a specified route, an event calendar that includes a multitude of happenings at ISHA member institutions, and a new section that posts job openings in the sports heritage industry.

The new site was created by Operand, a long-time member of ISHA.  Operand (www.operand.com) is a multimedia technology production company dedicated to creating and producing digital experiences that engage visitors. These systems often take the form of websites, kiosks, audio visuals and handheld devices.

The International Sports Heritage Association, first known as the Association of Sports Museums and Halls of Fame, was formed in 1971.  Today, with 120 member organizations representing five continents, ISHA is dedicated to helping member institutions better preserve history and educate future generations on the importance of sport heritage as a part of cultural history.
